Great read. Steven Johnson tells the story of centuries worth of history through 6 core innovations. If you enjoy history and like picking up anecdotes then I recommend it.
I’d not read any Asimov before until I found this list from the preface of Prelude to Foundation. This was the 7th book of his I read and while it’s not on the same level as some others it’s an okay read.
Quick read that covers a story I knew nothing about: the background of the US’ 1936 Olympic rowing team. Fascinating story, even if you don’t typically read sports writing.
This sat on my reading list for a long time; I’m glad I got around to reading it. It’s more narrative than it is history book and is really enjoyable to read.
