A couple days back some co-workers and I took the gondola up the mountain for a short hike. The gondola itself is a pretty great ride. Takes about 10 minutes and you get some fantastic views on the way down. From there we did a short trail up to what the resort calls Alpine Lake. […]
The sunrise from Jupiter Peak yesterday morning. Woke up at 3:30am and started hiking at 4:00. We set off from the parking lot and ended up hiking straight up one of the black diamond runs at Park City Mountain Resort. Brutal incline on the way up. Overall a really great hike with Nick, Joe, and Mo.
Last weekend Leah and I were in Sunriver, OR. On Saturday we spent the afternoon hiking up the Green Lakes trail which winds you up the east side of the Cascades between South Sister and Broken Top. The weather was perfect with cool weather and blue skies.
Great hike today with Daniel. Went up Dog Mountain in the Gorge. The sun was deceptive, though, as it was super cold at the top.
Because going on an 8-mile hike at 2:30pm on a Wednesday is something you do.
Took advantage of the wonderful weather yesterday to do a short hike on the Timberline Trail. Topped the day off with a 3-mile run and a delicious homemade dinner. Good Saturday.
Nolan’s 14. An insane course over 60 hours through Colorado that summits fourteen 14,000-foot peaks. Since it started as an unofficial race in 1999 only 7 people have finished.
One of my favorite aspects of Portland is that, within 90 minutes, I can surround myself with forests, mountains, and wide open sky. Sometimes you just need to get outside. A few weeks ago Leah and I drove East toward Mt. Hood. After a few miles on forest roads we set out toward Burnt Lake. […]
Great hike today with Daniel. Killer incline in the hike up but handily we came down a more gradual route.
Topped it off with a delicious milkshake after.
