What does describe WordPress well is that it’s more communication than code. I think this is also incredibly healthy. Communication and collaboration are the lifeblood for an open source project.
Nacin’s post is a testament to that, I think.
If you can create a culture of teaching and learning within your community like what went on when Greg showed us git, your project will take off. Those moments are more important to the humans involved than any app feature.

If you are a fan of Notational Velocity, a forked version was released today. It adds things like full screen mode and some other nifty views. I’ve used it for notes today and have to say that the full-screen edit mode is pretty slick.
