Have been feeling pretty sick the last few days. A day off combined with a kitten and good reading cures all. The new Quick Photo mode in WordPress for iOS is pretty cool too. 🙂

Chicken Fried Bacon
Yesterday I went out to Slappy Cakes for breakfast with some friends. I got pancakes but couldn’t resist the chicken fried bacon as well. It even had a light maple glaze over it all. Absolutely delicious!
Infamous Scribblers

Last week I finished up Shop Class as Soulcraft by Matthew Crawford. It’s a really wonderful book that has some thought-provoking reflections on life, work, and the meaning of it all.

Somewhere North of Seattle
Traveling up to WordCamp Developers and snapped this somewhere north of Seattle.
It’s an 8 hour train ride from Portland but taking Amtrak seriously beats flying. Power outlets, great leg room, and no security or liquids to hassle with.
Japanese Tea Garden
Some very good friends gave Leah and I a year-long membership to the Japanese Garden in Portland. The weather was nice for a change so we went to check it out. I want to go back with a book and just chill for a few hours; it’s quite the relaxing place.
Guardian
Best part of working on a weekend is having a cat standing guard. My own little desk guardian.
Vienna
Had an absolute blast with the rest of the Happiness team during our week in Vienna. Got a lot of work done but had quite a bit of fun as well.
Mozart Duckies
Saw these in a storefront while walking around tonight. Because you can never have too much Mozart in your life. 🙂
