On the way home from WordCamp Asia last month I spent a week in Singapore, which was my first visit in almost 7 years. It remains a lovely place to spend time!
My previous trips were for work so I had limited time to explore the city. This trip was a vacation, so I was able to get around more.

The highlights included:
- A day at the wonderful Singapore Zoo. Be sure to check out the aviary with its birds, bats, lemurs, mouse deer, and more.
- Two memorable meals out at some of the city’s many tasting menu restaurants. It’s great how many of these places now offer non-alcoholic drink pairings.
- The MINT Museum of Toys. I love quirky collections like this!
- Venturing out to the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. Tons of monitor lizards, birds, and crocodiles. It’s far enough from the main city that your Grab driver may give you their cellphone number in case you get stranded.
