A person who has not done one half his day’s work by ten o’clock, runs a chance of leaving the other half undone.

I found this darker and more strange than her sister’s Jane Eyre (which I appreciated more). It was still an enjoyable book to read. Sort of like a twisted, dark mirror Jane Austen.
