Timberline Trail Hike

Leah and I took Tuesday off work to take advantage of the nice weather and get some hiking in. We kept it easy and just drove up to Timberline Lodge to hike out to Paradise Park and back. It was overcast all day which made for sub-par photos but ideal temperatures. View the full gallery →

Took a break this afternoon to visit the Japanese Garden, which has an American bonsai exhibit right now.

Delicious grilled pizzas with Daniel, Leah, and Stijn; great Friday.

Status

Took advantage of summer weather to grill burgers, eat watermelon (with lime), and play board games with friends. Having a grill on the patio is fantastic.

Evening sunrise

It’s technically the sunset, but every sunny evening our east-facing apartment gets what feels like a second sunrise. The sun’s reflecting off of a building across the river and gives one last blast of light into our place.

Status

Took advantage of Portland’s annual fake-spring to get a 3.5-mile run in on the waterfront. Totally looking forward to running in nicer weather more consistently.
